He studied English Literature at Christ's College, Cambridge and worked as a freelance copywriter before joining Artellus. His debut novel, 'Vicky Had One Eye Open', was published in 2008 and was short-listed for a World Book Day prize.

  Leslie co-founded Artellus Ltd in 1986 and handles writers internationally for fiction, non-fiction, film and periodicals. She previously worked at American publishing houses, London Management, Columbia Pictures and The National Theatre. She set up the TV drama Tenko, worked with Salman Rushdie and Anthony Burgess, and handles the estate of Robert Aickman. She holds an MA from the University of Iowa's International Writers Workshop and a PhD in Rhetoric.
