About

Bryony represents an eclectic mix of writers, with a list spanning quirky children's fiction and young adult through to adult fiction and selected non-fiction.

She set up her own literary agency in 2012, after working in specialist bookshops, libraries and at the Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency. She holds an MA in Publishing from University College London. She has mentored aspiring writers, agents and editors through organisations such as the Stationers Company and the WoMentoring Project.

Agency submission guidelines

The agency welcomes submissions from new clients of all backgrounds, including those under-represented in publishing. International submissions are considered, though US-based authors are generally advised to seek a US-based agent given the agency is based in the UK. Exclusive submissions are not required. Writers should inform the agency if another agent is considering the full manuscript. Submissions written or co-written using Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot be accepted. No reading fee is charged. Submissions sent to the general enquiries address (info@bryonywoods.co.uk) will not be read.
