Submission guidelines
The agency considers fiction and non-fiction, submitted by email only. Fiction: literary debuts, historical novels, thrillers, crime fiction and women's fiction. Non-fiction: history, memoir, politics and popular science. Not considered: poetry, plays or scripts for film and TV. What to send: a 1-paragraph author biography (including whether the novel has been sent to other agents or publishers), a 1-paragraph blurb/hook stating genre and audience, a short synopsis, and the first three chapters attached. Formatting: include name, address, contact number and email address on the first page of the manuscript. The manuscript should be double or 1.5 line-spaced, with wide margins, in a type size no smaller than 12-point (Times New Roman preferred), and fully numbered page by page. How to send: email to submissions@cmm.agency. Submissions by post, or direct to individual agents by email, are not accepted unless requested. After a screening process, selected authors will be asked to submit their full manuscript by email.
AI policy
Submissions, including the covering letter and synopsis, must be the original work of the author. Material generated, written, co-written or edited using artificial intelligence technology is not accepted.
