Agency submission guidelines
The agency looks for non-fiction on practically any subject, with particular interest in politics, sport, show business and the music industry, but not educational textbooks. Film and TV scripts on any subject are also considered. An email enquiry to guy@futermanrose.co.uk is suggested if in doubt.
For non-fiction, send a book proposal including, if possible, a chapter breakdown, two or three sample chapters, and relevant biographical detail such as previous publications and experience, expertise or qualifications related to the subject matter. Manuscripts should be double-spaced and use a standard font such as Times New Roman or Courier New.
For TV or film work, send a sample episode or section of the script conforming to industry standard formatting and layout, along with details of writing background and which producers or production companies, if any, have already seen the material.
Hard copy submissions should be kept as a copy by the sender, and a self-addressed stamped envelope should be included if return of the work is wanted; the agency cannot be held responsible for loss or damage. Email attachments are accepted in.doc,.docx,.odt,.rtf,.txt and.pdf formats, and for scripts also FinalDraft files (.fdx or.fdr). No reading fee is charged.
