Agency submission guidelines
Submissions sent directly to individual agents will not be considered. AI-originated, written or edited submissions are not accepted. Non-fiction: send a non-fiction proposal to nonfiction@grahammawchristie.com including a one-page summary of the topic, a detailed chapter-by-chapter outline, the writer's credentials for writing the book, any online profile and social media, an overview of the market and competing titles, how the writer could help promote and sell the book, 1-2 sample chapters (or more depending on complexity), and contact details. Poetry, young adult and children's fiction submissions cannot be responded to. Fiction: send a fiction submission to fiction@grahammawchristie.com, only when the manuscript is completed, including the genre in the subject header. Include a one to two line elevator pitch, a 500-800 word synopsis (not a teaser, include spoilers), genre, up to five comparative titles (particularly those published in the last three years), a bio (relevant writing experience, publications or credentials), how the writer could help promote and sell the book, the first three chapters or approximately 10,000 words from the beginning of the book, and contact details. Proposals, pitch documents and sample text are preferred as attachments, preferably in Word, Pages or PDF format. The covering email should include the elevator pitch and short synopsis and state if the project is on multiple submission. Postal submissions cannot be accepted and reviewed; anything sent as hard copy will be recycled.
