Submissions are accepted only by email, with a covering letter in the body of the email giving background on the book and the writer's career, including name, address and contact number, noting any referrals or prior correspondence, and mentioning if the project is with other agents or publishers. Submissions should be double spaced. For fiction: send the first three chapters (or about 50 pages) and a synopsis in a single document, with a covering letter. For non-fiction: email a proposal and a short example of the proposed work, a couple of sample chapters. For picture books: send three samples of completed stories. For illustrators: send samples of your work for children and a link to your website. Presenting your work: attach your work to the email in a document (number the pages). Accepted formats are.doc,.docx or.pdf for text submissions and.jpeg,.gif or.pdf for illustrations. Adult writing submissions go to submissions@jennybrownassociates.com, or directly to jenny@jennybrownassociates.com or lisa@jennybrownassociates.com.
