Submission guidelines

The agency is closed to submissions during the month of August. Submissions are made by email to submissions@laxfieldliterary.com. The title of the work should be included in the subject line. Work should be sent as a Word document, with contact details and word count clearly visible on the title page. The agency does not represent plays, screenwriting, children's books or horror; manuscripts within these genres will not be read. For fiction, a covering note about the author should be included in the body of the email, along with a synopsis in a separate Word document and the first three chapters of the book. For non-fiction, a covering note with information about the author and the background to the book should be included in the body of the email, together with a one-page summary of the project, a table of contents (or chapter outline) and two or three sample chapters. Submissions that are generic in nature, or give no indication why the writer believes Laxfield Literary would be a good match for their work, will be deleted.
