Submissions are made by email to submissions@laxfieldliterary.com. Plays, screenwriting, children's books and horror are not represented, and manuscripts in these genres will not be read. Formatting: the title of the work should be in the email subject line. Work should be sent as a Word document, with contact details and word count clearly visible on the title page. Fiction: include a covering note in the body of the email telling a little about yourself, a synopsis in a separate Word document, and the first three chapters of the book. Non-fiction: include a covering note in the body of the email with information about yourself and the background to the book, a one-page summary of the project, a table of contents (or chapter outline), and two or three sample chapters. Submissions should explain why Laxfield Literary would be a good fit for the work. Submissions which give no indication of this will be deleted. Submissions originated, written or edited by Artificial Intelligence technology, including AI-written cover letters or synopses, are not accepted and will be deleted. Writers with particular requirements or disabilities needing additional support with the submissions process can contact info@laxfieldliterary.com to discuss an alternative way of receiving the submission.

Emma Shercliff founded Laxfield Literary Associates in 2020. She has over 20 years of experience in the publishing industry and has worked for publishing houses in Paris, Melbourne, Abuja and London.
