Genres
Looking for
- Marilia seeks polished, high-impact fiction and select non-fiction. In fiction, she’s drawn to darker, character-driven thrillers, crime, psychological suspense, accessible horror, smart rom-coms (à la Emily Henry), speculative or dystopian fiction, and book‑club novels reminiscent of Jodi Picoult or Liane Moriarty. She does not consider high fantasy or romantasy
- prefers grounded speculative and big‑hook thrillers . In non-fiction, Marilia is open to pop science, narrative history, true crime, and investigative journalism.
Not looking for
- fantasy, romantasy
- military thrillers, organised crime/mafia/mob stories
- sci-fi unless it's very grounded and has crossover potential to a mainstream audience
