Submission guidelines

Unsolicited fiction submissions are accepted by email to submissions@arcadia-books.co.uk. What to send: the first 10,000 words or the first three chapters of the novel. Include a brief cover letter in the body of the email describing the book and the author. Include a short synopsis (no longer than one page) as a separate attachment. Formatting: submit as a Word doc. Use Times New Roman, font size 12, double-spaced. Genre: only Science Fiction, Fantasy or Horror is accepted. The work must contain some element of the speculative or the fantastical. young adult/Crossover is considered only if it is firmly crossover, appealing to adult readers and publishable on an adult list. Non-fiction cannot be considered. Short stories, novellas or anthologies of shorter works cannot be considered. Drafting rule: the manuscript must be complete at the time of submission. Other rules: submit only one book at a time. A further book may be submitted if the previous project is passed on.
