Submission guidelines
Submissions are made via an online form on the Bookouture website, covering Crime & Thriller, Women's Fiction, Historical Romance, Cozy Crime and Young Adult. Science fiction and fantasy manuscripts are directed to the Second Sky imprint instead. What to send: a pitch or blurb selling the book in a few paragraphs, a brief author biography, and the manuscript itself. File format: manuscript files must be pdf, doc, docx or rtf, with a maximum size of 10MB. Word documents are preferred. Only one manuscript should be submitted at a time; a further manuscript should be sent as a new submission. Supporting documents: optional additional documents, for example a synopsis, may be uploaded in pdf, doc, docx, rtf, jpg, xlsx or csv format, up to 10MB.
