Submission guidelines

Submissions are made by email, with the word SUBMISSION in capitals at the start of the subject line, followed by the writer's name and book title. Nothing needs to be included in the body of the email. Format: the submission should be a single Word document (not a PDF) attached to the email. The document should be titled with the writer's name and the book title. All required material must be contained within this one document. Genres: the list is eclectic and open to most genres and styles. Children's picture books, poetry and academic texts are not published. Fiction: include a one-page pitch (no more than 250 words) covering the writer and the book, a synopsis of the plot (no more than 500 words), and sample chapters consisting of the first three chapters or up to 10,000 words. Non-fiction: include a one-page pitch (no more than 250 words) covering the writer and the book, a chapter plan listing each chapter with a short summarising paragraph beneath each heading, and three sample chapters or up to 10,000 words. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines may be rejected without being read.
