Galley Beggar Press

Submission guidelines

The press publishes adult literary fiction (novels and short story collections) and narrative non-fiction. It is not currently considering other genres such as poetry, lifestyle, or commercial fiction. What to send: manuscripts should be submitted in full, with a covering letter or email. Synopses are welcome but not essential. Who may submit: submissions are welcomed from both agented and non-agented writers, and from writers anywhere in the world, not only the UK. Covering letter: when submissions are open, it helps to mention which of the press's authors have been read and why the work suits Galley Beggar Press. Format and contact rules: posted manuscripts are not accepted or returned. The press cannot enter into correspondence about submissions or individual work, and does not offer feedback or answer email inquiries about submitted material.
