Submission guidelines

Unsolicited print or digital manuscripts should not be sent to any HarperCollins office, including HarperNorth, as receipt or return cannot be guaranteed. Some HarperCollins imprints run ongoing or occasional open submissions periods, or competitions, and these are advertised on imprint social media accounts and newsletters. HarperNorth (Manchester-based) is described as seeking stories from northern writers, sharp thinkers, striking locations, folklore, warm storytelling voices, and frank writing, but no specific submission address or format is stated for this imprint on the page. Fiction and non-fiction submissions follow different processes with guidelines available via their submissions page.
