Submission guidelines

Honno publishes Welsh women writers. Eligibility: writers must be women born in Wales or resident in Wales at the time of submission, or writing of exceptional interest to women in Wales even if the author does not meet those criteria. What is accepted: submissions are welcomed in both Welsh and English, in fiction and non-fiction, from unagented and unpublished writers as well as published authors. No agent is required. Fiction: genres sought include crime, thriller, romance, historical, humour, literary, horror, fantasy and science fiction, featuring strong women and gripping plots. Non-fiction: interest lies in a range of subjects with a strong connection to women and/or Wales, including food writing, women's history, Welsh history, Welsh interest and nature writing.
