Submission guidelines

Manuscripts and book dummies are sought from authors and illustrators from under-represented groups, particularly stories with child protagonists (animal-only characters not wanted), across fiction, non-fiction, poetry and graphic novels for board books through to young adult. What to send: submit one file only, a Word document or PDF containing the manuscript, a synopsis and a short biography. Formatting: avoid submitting image-heavy PDFs. Middle Grade and Young Adult: include a chapter-by-chapter synopsis in the same file. Illustrators: include a link to an online portfolio. Illustration files are not accepted via the submissions form. Submissions are made via the submissions form on the website.
