Submission guidelines
The agency is interested in contemporary fiction, crime and thriller, memoir/biography and travel, and its queer list publishes both fiction and biography. It does not publish children's books, young adult, military history, cookery, lifestyle, sci fi, fantasy or poetry. Submissions that do not meet the criteria will not receive a response. How to send: All submissions should be sent via email as either a Word doc or PDF to info@muswell-press.co.uk. Fiction: send a one-page pitch, plus a CV or biographical note, together with the full manuscript as a Word doc or PDF. Non-fiction: send a pitch explaining what qualifies the writer to write the book and who the audience is, a detailed synopsis, and the first three chapters as a minimum, plus a CV. Other: the agency is a small publisher taking on a maximum of 12 new books each year, both agented and non-agented. It is not able to offer editorial advice on unsuccessful submissions.
