Renard Press

Submission guidelines

The agency considers non-fiction and fiction with a literary bent, poetry (collections only) and playscripts. It is generally not looking for science-fiction, romance or crime, though writers may submit if their work is literary and only partially defined by one of these categories. What to send: the initial query submission is set to ten sample pages rather than a full chapter, to allow for other genres such as poetry. Either the first or last chapter of a novel may be sent. How to send: submissions must be sent via Query Manager rather than by post. Playscripts: indicate any performance plans when submitting. Poetry: only collections are considered through general submissions. A separate poetry open call runs, usually once a year in late spring.
