Second Sky

Submission guidelines

Second Sky publishes only full-length science fiction and fantasy. It does not publish children's books, film scripts, poetry or short stories; writers of other fiction genres are directed to Bookouture, and text-led non-fiction writers to Thread. What to send: a complete manuscript of the full-length book, plus a short pitch of a couple of sentences describing the book. Comparable published titles may be included in the pitch if helpful. Formatting: manuscripts should be in a clear font with double spacing, and track changes should be switched off before sending. AI policy: work with AI-generated creative content should not be submitted. AI-assisted tools are permitted only for minor, incidental tasks such as spelling and grammar checks, style reports, or research that the writer then verifies and writes themselves. Any use of AI in the work, or doubt about whether such use aligns with the policy, should be disclosed at the time of submission.
