Submission guidelines

Book proposals are accepted through the online portal Submittable. Postal submissions: submissions should not be sent via postal mail, due to a hybrid work model across multiple office locations. Materials sent to the offices will not be returned, and a reply cannot be guaranteed. Existing printed material (for example, a self-published book): the proposal form should be completed first; additional material will be requested if there is interest. Accessibility: if access reasons (for example, health or disability) make the online proposal form difficult to use, writers can email proposals@jkp.com with 'Accessibility' in the subject line to receive the proposal questions in a different format. Agents: both agented and non-agented submissions are accepted. Simultaneous submissions: submitting to other publishers at the same time is permitted.
