Submission guidelines

Non-Fiction Film & TV: the publisher is looking for strong proposals for popular, cult, science fiction, horror and fantasy film and TV reference and tie-in titles; writers with a proven track record in this area (books, newspapers or magazines) and good contacts in the film and TV industry are preferred; original scripts are not published or commissioned; also interested in writers wanting to work on licensed publications already contracted. Non-Fiction Art & Comics Reference: strong proposals are sought for these titles, preferably creator or character-led; writers with a proven track record and good contacts in the art & comics world are preferred; also interested in writers wanting to work on licensed publications already contracted. Fiction (Novels/Short Stories): the majority of fiction titles are licensed from overseas publishers or acquired through agents; general fiction submissions (novels or short stories) are not currently sought, and ideas or manuscripts for children's books are not required; interested in writers wanting to work on licensed fiction already contracted. An initial submission should be a brief synopsis and covering letter only, not a full manuscript. Comics & Graphic Novels: the majority of graphic novel titles are licensed from overseas publishers or acquired through agents, though a growing number of originated graphic novels are also published; portfolio sessions are run at comic conventions where work may be reviewed; interested in writers and artists wanting to work on licensed projects already contracted. An initial submission should be a brief synopsis and covering letter only, not a full manuscript.
