Submission guidelines

Submissions can be sent by post or electronically. What to send: a short synopsis of the work; a covering letter with full contact details (including email address) and background information. Fiction: send the first three chapters, excluding any prologues. Picture books: send the full manuscript. Postal submissions: include a stamped self-addressed envelope (SAE). Material is not returned if one is not included. If only a postal address is given (no email), a reply will only be sent if an SAE is included.     Gill is an agent at Bath Literary Agency, representing authors and illustrators of fiction and non-fiction. She graduated with a Publishing & Marketing degree from Oxford Brookes University and has worked in publishing since 1996. Her career includes sales, marketing and commercial roles at Barefoot Books and Egmont. She co-founded the Bath Festival of Children's Literature and now runs Events of Wonder with her husband, John McLay.
