Eve is the founder and owner of Eve White Literary Agency.

She started the agency in 2003 after twenty years working as an actress. Her company has grown to represent work ranging from prize-winning literary fiction to bestselling picture books worldwide. She works closely with each author, both editorially and in shaping their careers.

Agency submission guidelines

The agency welcomes new clients and accepts fiction and non-fiction for adults, submitted from anywhere in the world as long as the manuscript is written in a form of English. What is not accepted: children's books (as of 1st July 2026), ghostwritten work, and any covering letters, proposals, synopses or manuscripts written using generative AI. Submissions of these will not be read. How to send: submissions are accepted by email only. Postal submissions will not be read, responded to or returned. A submission may be addressed to either the relevant reader (Nicky for fiction, Pippa for non-fiction) or a particular agent, but should be sent to only one of the listed email addresses. Fiction: send a full covering email including the word count. Prepare one attachment in Word format (or PDF if unable), named "[Book Title], [Your Name]", containing the three opening chapters or an equivalent writing sample (double line spaced), plus a synopsis of the whole plot including spoilers, no more than one page, preferably in prose though bullet points are accepted. Send to fiction@evewhite.co.uk. Non-fiction: send a full covering email including the final or projected word count. Prepare attachments in Word format (or PDF if unable): a full book proposal including some sample writing, named "[Book Title], Proposal, [Your Name]", and a CV named "CV, [Your Name]". Send to nonfiction@evewhite.co.uk.

Agency AI policy

They do not accept covering letters, proposals, synopses or manuscripts written using generative AI, and all submissions are read by experienced professionals without the use of AI.

He grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne and studied French and Italian at Queens' College, Cambridge, before completing an MPhil in Comparative Film and Literature.
