Agency submission guidelines

The agency welcomes new clients and accepts fiction and non-fiction for adults, submitted from anywhere in the world as long as the manuscript is written in a form of English. What is not accepted: children's books (as of 1st July 2026), ghostwritten work, and any covering letters, proposals, synopses or manuscripts written using generative AI. Submissions of these will not be read. How to send: submissions are accepted by email only. Postal submissions will not be read, responded to or returned. A submission may be addressed to either the relevant reader (Nicky for fiction, Pippa for non-fiction) or a particular agent, but should be sent to only one of the listed email addresses. Fiction: send a full covering email including the word count. Prepare one attachment in Word format (or PDF if unable), named "[Book Title], [Your Name]", containing the three opening chapters or an equivalent writing sample (double line spaced), plus a synopsis of the whole plot including spoilers, no more than one page, preferably in prose though bullet points are accepted. Send to fiction@evewhite.co.uk. Non-fiction: send a full covering email including the final or projected word count. Prepare attachments in Word format (or PDF if unable): a full book proposal including some sample writing, named "[Book Title], Proposal, [Your Name]", and a CV named "CV, [Your Name]". Send to nonfiction@evewhite.co.uk.

Agency AI policy

They do not accept covering letters, proposals, synopses or manuscripts written using generative AI, and all submissions are read by experienced professionals without the use of AI.
