  • romantic fiction with an enemies-to-lovers trope and a competitive edge, be that in sports, STEM, finance etc

  • general fiction that focuses on friendship over time, across genre
  • novels that use sibling relationships as their driver
  • a modern and loosely inspired take on the classics

  • fresh interpretations of previously trodden areas
  • non-fiction focused on improving our future by learning from our past
  • an exploration into pop and fan culture and the reasons behind why topics trend on TikTok and Reddit

Agency submission guidelines

The covering letter should be in the body of the email, with submission materials as attachments; the letter should include a brief pitch for the book plus relevant information about the writer, their inspiration and writing background if applicable. Fiction: send the first three chapters (or about fifty pages) alongside a one or two page synopsis that reveals the ending; only submit once a full draft is complete. Non-fiction: send three sample chapters (or about fifty pages) alongside a summary of proposed chapters or a synopsis; it is not essential that the work is completed before submitting. The letter should explain why the subject matters to the writer, why they are best placed to write it, and the intended readership. Submissions should be sent to submissions@greeneheaton.co.uk, with the preferred agent's name in the subject line if possible; if unsure, address the Submissions Team. Attachments should be Word Documents rather than PDFs. Postal submissions are not accepted.

Agency AI policy

Submissions must be the original work of the author; submissions originated, written or edited using Artificial Intelligence (AI) will not be accepted. This includes the use of AI in your cover letter, synopsis and proposal, as well as the manuscript.
