Agency submission guidelines

The John Jarrold Literary Agency takes adult science fiction, fantasy and horror novels only. It does not take other fiction, non-fiction, YA, children's fiction or screenwriters, and it is always open. What to send: the first six chapters as a Word document attached to an email, with one paragraph about the book and comparisons with two or three recently successful authors in the same genre, not long-term bestsellers. Any useful information about your publishing background is welcome. Where to send: j.jarrold@btinternet.com Worth knowing: the agency charges no reading fee. If your submission has not been dealt with in two weeks, follow up by email.
