Carolyn is an award-winning publicist-turned-agent at May Literary Agency.

Her career has spanned publishing, literary charities and bookselling, giving her extensive knowledge and contacts within the book industry. She has worked with some of the UK's most renowned authors and takes pride in nurturing author relationships from debut to bestseller level. She holds two MAs with Distinction in Children's Literature and Publishing, and a Publishers' Publicity Circle Award.

Agency submission guidelines

The agency does not accept submissions that have employed any use of AI in their creation, editing or submission process. Adult and children's fiction (picture books, Middle Grade and young adult) that encourages empathy and hope, champions new perspectives, and speaks to the writer's heart and soul is sought, as are texts that are uniquely the writer's own voice. Adult and children's non-fiction which provokes discussion and broadens minds is sought. Work from under-represented voices offering new perspectives is sought. Sci-fi, horror, cookery and crime are not represented.
